Here's what I found out from the Center for Disease Control, The Mayo Clinic and NCDAS: An Alcohol Overdose: Known as alcohol poisoning. It is a medical emergency characterized by cold/clammy skin, slow or irregular breathing (fewer than 8 breaths a minute), seizures, vomiting, and a total inability to wake up. A THC Overdose, however, is often referred to as "greening out" or acute toxicity. It is deeply uncomfortable but not life-threatening. (NOT LIFE-THREATENING PEOPLE) It is characterized by severe anxiety, panic attacks, paranoia, a rapid heart rate, dizziness, and cyclical vomiting. Other Major Differences Behavioral Effects: Alcohol consumption frequently reduces inhibitions and triggers aggressive or violent behavior. THC consumption typically acts as a sedative and decreases aggressive tendencies. Withdrawal Risk: For Alcohol- Abruptly stopping heavy, chronic alcohol use can cause Delirium Tremens (DTs) and fatal seizures, requiring medical detox. Stopping heavy THC use can cause insomnia, irritability, and decreased appetite, but is never physically dangerous.
